I looked at the manual and it says to slide it in,but it doesn't click. It says "DO NOT PRESS PUSH BUTTON",but I pressed the PUSH button and fitted in perfectly. Is it bad that I pressed the PUSH button to fit it in?

Which Saeco model do you have? With our Saeco Talea, I often must also press the button to get the group in. I don't think that it is a problem as long as the push button snaps back to ist original position and the group is locked (i.e. you cant pull it out without pressing again).

I have the Primea Touch Plus. But in the damn manual it says "DO NOT PRESS PUSH BUTTON".
Manuals are for cowards (Italian proverb)
Being an Italian product with an Italian manual, this "DO NOT PRESS PUSH BUTTON" doesn't mean you should not press the button. It just means that if you press it and something breaks it wasn't their fault even if you can't get this bl**dy thing in without pressing the button.
It's like the fuel warning light in Italian cars coming on when the tank is still at least half full or the rev counter telling you not to rev higher than 5.000 rpm when the engine has its max power at 7.000 rpm.
