Thema: Graef ES 90 Siebträger > 90°

Hallo,

ich habe ja seit kurzem eine ES 90 und mir fällt auf, dass ich eigentlich von Anfang an den Siebträger meist problemlos überdrehen konnte. Mache ich es nicht, tropft ab und zu Wasser an hinten runter.
Ist das Überdrehen (5-10°) ein Problem?

was nicht? Kein Problem ob bei dir hörts bei 90° auf?

Ich frage mich halt, ob das mechanisch irgendwann negative Auswirkungen hat.

Sorry, ich meinte kein Problem dass er weiter geht. Hängt bei mir auch immer vom verwendeten Sieb ab. Und ging in der Anfangszeit auch sukzessive immer ein klein wenig weiter bis es sich stabilisiert hat. Aber Schäden hat es keine verursacht.

From my experience: if I adjust my machine with the force of only one finger, therefore quite little force, it will adjust just fine for a pressure of up to 10 bar (12 o'clock), that is the maximum you need to brew.
More pressure than 10 bar and it will begin to leak.
This means it will go up to the arrow at about 5 o'clock. With more force it will go further but I see no need to do it.
I tried forcing harder and I felt metal resistance, as in grinding, and could detect early signs of lipping in the brew-head (coffesnobs -> Sunbeam 6910 for more info).
Basically the problem was that I was getting to much pressure as a consequence of too fine grind and too hard tamping. Adjusting my grinding and tamping resolved the problem.
