CoLab: Berlin

Wer hat von diesem Format der Specialty Coffee Association SCA gehört und weiss, was das ist?

 

Ich habe einen E-mail Newsletter mit der Veranstaltung am 4. Mai 2017 erhalten, ein zentraler Ort wird dort soviel ich weiss nicht genannt, es werden einige Orte genannt, wie Cafe9, The Barn, Coffee Circle und Five Elephant. Die Themen drehen sich wohl um Spezialitäten Kaffee. Wer angesprochen werden soll, ist mir nicht ganz klar, vielleicht Barista. Die Sprache scheint Englisch zu sein, vielleicht eine internationale Veranstaltung.

 

Die zentrale Veranstaltung findet im Beta Haus bei den Prinzessinnengaerten statt, die Veranstaltung läuft schon, wurde mir auf Nachfrage gesagt, 2. - 4. 05

 

Die Info ging an die Mitglieder der SCA und der Barista Guild of Europe, man muss akreditiert sein und sich registrieren. Die externen Veranstaltungen sind vielleicht frei zugänglich. Hier der Inhalt:

Come CoLab!
BGE is excited to bring its CoLab: seminar series to Berlin on 2-4 May, an event which combines a full day of compelling educational content with 2 half days on either side to discover the host city's coffee community and culture. CoLab: focuses on connecting a local community with the international barista scene, both through hosting lectures and workshops as well as creating activities to discover and celebrate the local coffee scene.

After the successful fourth edition of CoLab in Barcelona autumn 2016, we're excited to continue the seminar series in 2017 with a visit to Berlin, looking for a warm embrace of the local coffee community.

Berlin is considered somewhat of a central hub of European coffee with a handful of well-reputed specialty roasters within Berlin and a lengthy list of alternative and cool cafes and an annual independent coffee festival – we're excited to bring the international coffee community to this centre of culture and history.

Registration launches to all members and non-members today – get in early and register here to reserve your space at CoLab: Berlin! Tickets cost €85 members/€95 non-members, which include entry to the main day of CoLab at Betahaus with lunch and refreshments as well as access to the full CoLab: Berlin program.

The Venue – Betahaus
The main day of CoLab: Berlin on Wednesday 3 May will take place at Betahaus, event and co-working space in the district of Kreuzberg.

This practical event space will provide us with the ideal combination of areas to run the CoLab program.

The large Innospace will play host to all of the morning presentations and our afternoon panel. To ensure CoLab'ers take the opportunity to network and relax there is a designated breakout area where coffee will be available to sample from our coffee partners. Finally, Betahaus has a series of smaller rooms and a theatre space allowing us to explore the options of workshops – encouraging attendees to ask questions and engage with speakers.

Betahaus is in the popular Kreuzberg area, home to many specialty cafes and roasters and a stones throw from the head office of Cafe Imports.

The Program
Hoorah! The well-received program format that the BGE Working Group devised for CoLab: Barcelona will return for CoLab: Berlin.

The program was tailored to meet the demands for a speaker event which allowed increased engagement and the opportunity to connect with the speakers.

We're working on confirming some amazing speakers for CoLab: Berlin – we can't wait to announce them!
